The volume documents field work of E. O. Ulrich in Tennessee, Ohio, and Kentucky notebooks, 1888, 1903, 1906, 1909, 1912 - 1916. The notebook begins with a typed index listing location and page number. Entries are dated and headed with location. Includes numerous pasted inserts. Entries are not chronological order. They contain travel details, notes on work completed, geological sections, drawings with notes, correspondence, and portions of a printed map with notations that show a section along the Ohio River.
