The volume documents the field work of Robert J. Horodyski in Arizona (May 7 - 16) and Laguna Mormona in Baja California (June) 1984, while working at Tulane University. Entries for work in Arizona describes daily activities, routes traveled, weather, supplies, campsites, temperature throughout the day, description of boxonia bioherms, orientations, stromatolites. Entries from work in Laguna Mormona include observations of ponds, and tables of data.
