The field book documents the work of Robert Neuman in northeastern Maine, June 20 - August 10, 1957. The first page of the volume contains a color key for types of stone. Entries are dated and includes location information (landmarks, distance from), weather, identifier (e.g. SP10), geological characteristics (color, composition, measurements) of strata, and hand drawn maps. Locations include but are not limited to Penobscot county.
