The field book documents the work of Robert Neuman in Tennessee, March 19 - August 9, 1949. Entries are headed with location and date. Entries describe location information (landmarks, distance from), weather, geological characteristics (color, composition, depth), presence and type of fossils, locations where collected, hand drawn maps. Some entries include detailed description of strata with assigned colors and have identifiers (e.g. BL-1 to BL-71). Locations include Blockhouse, Tennessee.
