The notebook documents the work of Ellis Yochelson in southwestern states, Texas, Maryland, Oklahoma, Colorado, Sweden, Russia, Ohio, Italy, England, Scotland, 1995 - 1997. The volume begins with an overview of travel for the year. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. They describe travel details, daily activities, expenses, meetings, colleagues with whom met, photographs taken, weather, and sites visited.
