The field book documents the work of Warren C. Blow in Mattaponi River in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, 1972, 1984-1992. The volume begins with a list of daily expenses and contact information. Entries vary in length of content. Some entries are dated and headed with location. They include detailed geological sections, notes relating to color and composition of strata, presence of shells, samples taken and description per numbered locality (WB-#-##-##-#).
