The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in Eniwetok [Marshall Islands], June 24 - July 12, 1952. Inside the front cover are notes relating to samples to Cole and page numbers and notes on cores and cuttings. Entries are dated, sometimes time of day and location, followed with details relating to drilling and samples. Some entries include depth, samples taken, and descriptions of geological characteristics, presence and type of fossils, drilling progress and issues.
