The notebook documents the geological work of Harry S. Ladd in southern Mariana Islands (Guam, Saipan, Tinian, Rota), May 2 - June 13, 1946. Entries are dated and include descriptions of fieldwork: time of day, geological characteristics (color, composition, measurements), coral present, and travel details and routes. Also includes notes on locations, photographs taken, and table of data (time, elevation, loc., date, and distance).
