Abstract:
The black-and-white photographs were taken as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program between 1963 and 1968. The photographs depict Lesser frigatebird colonies, on ground and in flight. Various ages including adult and nestlings are depicted. The photographs are attributed to R. Chandler, R. Fleet, C. D. Hackman, and D. L. Pearson. Photographs were taken on Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Phoenix Island, and Taongi Atoll.
