Abstract:

The notebook documents work of Axel A. Olsson in Panama, February - March, 1933. The volume begins with a discussion of the geology of the Madden Dam area. Notes are narrative in structure, and discuss the work of other geologists, geological characteristics of region, fossil collections studied, travel and study of the site (during February). These cover presence and identification of specimens and area observations, as well as sketches. Olsson writes from the front and the back of the volume.
