The notebook documents the field work of Axel A. Olsson in Panama and Peru, 1948. The volume begins with what appears to be a summary and discussion of a publication about the geology of de Ancachs [Ancash]. Travel entries cover March - April 1948, and describe routes, geological characteristics observed, fossils found, activities with colleagues, travel details, geological sections, and discussion of possible issues with drilling. There appears to be text written by an identified individual.
