The notebook documents the paleontology field work of William A. Oliver in Michigan, Ohio, and Ontario, Canada, August 18 - 29, 1966. Oliver notes on the first page he completed work with F.A. Fagerstrom and Robt. F. Diffendal of University of Nebraska; H.I. Saunders of U.S. Geological Survey. Covers 66-1 to 66-57, 7764 to 7812. Entries are dated and include location information (quadrangle, landmarks, town or road in vicinity), description of terrain (measurements, color, composition), and types of specimens collected.
