Abstract:
In the letter from H. P. Attwater to C. E. Bendire, dated April 29, 1896, sent from San Antonio, Texas, Attwater references 300 skins he sent from Texas. The letter provides details about two pairs of birds that were likely mating pairs, including behavior of the pairs before and during collection. The letter also provides general details about nesting and ranges of other species of birds around San Antonio.
