Abstract:
The black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Howland Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, September 1965. Captions on the reverse side of photographs list negative number, location, date and photographer (R. Maze, Brian Harrington). Subject matter shows vegetation and island interior, birds in flight, closeup images of vegetation (unidentified, Cordia blossom), Ameila Earhart Lighthouse, and individual in the field.
