Abstract:
The black-and-white photographs document field work on Enderbury Atoll in Kiribati, February 27 - March 2, 1964. Images have captions on the reverse side listing location, date range, description, negative number, and photographer (Roger Clapp). Subject matter covers various birds in habitat (Red-footed Booby, Greater Frigate), vegetation (Messerschmidia), hermit crabs utilizing shed for protection from sun, Brown Booby nest with eggs, nesting habitat (Red footed Booby, Great Frigate), camp, participants (Clapp, Sibley, and Hackman) conducting census of bird colony.
