The black and white photographs document field work on Sand-Johnston Island as part of Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, July 9, August 11 and 20, 1966. Photographs include captions on the reverse side that list image number (e.g. 8-A), location, description, date, and photographer. Photographs were taken by Philip C. Shelton. Subject matter covers numbered plots with Sooty Terns.
