Abstract:
The black and white photographs document field work completed during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Midway Island, December, February 1963 and undated. Images have captions on the reverse side including location (including island), description, date. Subject matter covers participants taking blood samples and skinning birds (Blagden and Amerson), candid images of participants working on island, structures (including runway) and terrain of island, USS Moctobi, and a storm in Midway Harbor. There is a photograph of a bird, credited to the US Naval Air Station, Midway.
