Abstract:
The black and white photographs, contact sheets and album pages document field work completed during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1963 and undated. Caption information varies. Some include negative number, date, location and descriptions. Subject matter includes birds and seals of various ages. Photograph album pages include captions that list individuals pictured, location (including part of island), activity, and date information. Photos show the process of disembarking at Pearl and Hermes Reef (February 1963), arrival, setting up camp, camp life, flocks of birds at lagoon, sharks, seals, and turtles.
