Abstract:
The notebook documents field work conducted by Roger Clapp on the islands of Canton [Kanton] and McKean, March 31 - April 1, 1975. Pages are numbered (40 - 61). Entries are dated and some are narrative in style. They describe departure and arrival times, daily work, observations of colonies and individual birds as well as their nests. Details include type, age, sex, location, and population estimates. There are also lists of what may be band numbers with unidentified information, possibly an abbreviation for type of bird. Much of the notebook is blank.
