Abstract:
This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, on the Eastern Area Cruise 15, aboard the USS Bradley, 1967. Materials include: bird observation sheets and fix data sheets. Fix data sheets include: date, ship, cruise no., sunset, position (lat and long), miles traveled from sunrise to sunset, hourly positions (latitude, longitude, wind dir., wind sp., wave dir., wave hgt.). Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., specimen or band no., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, calling, etc.). Also included is a typed photocopied preliminary report.
