The field notebook documents Helmut Buechner's observations, August 20 - September 3, 1950. Entries are dated and detail travel, mileage, photographs taken (including camera settings and vegetation subject matter), mammal and bird observations (combination of time of day, type, sex, quantity, location in relation to geological landmarks, elevation, behaviors), and castings made. Locations include sites in Washington. There are loose inserts.
