Abstract:
Lantern slides document the work of Arthur Sowerby during hunting expeditions in China (undated). Some slides are numbered, and some have a basic caption written on four flap wrappers. Subject matter includes terrain (vistas, woods, mountains, inland waterways), boy with rats, hunters with shot bear, fish specimens, candid images of men at work on land and water, campsites, cabin and structures, log barge, vegetation (trees), and docked boats.
