Lantern slides document the field work of Arthur Sowerby during the hunting expeditions in China (undated). Some slides are numbered. Subject matter includes collected mammal specimens (including bears, pangolin, squirrel), sailing vessels, people in woods, bird specimens (some live), portraits of local inhabitants, mountain and valley terrain, log barges, flowering plants, buildings, villages, and inland waterways.
