Abstract:
This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1964, on Northern Grid Survey 13. The Northern Grid Survey was conducted of a square section of the Central Pacific Ocean near the Hawaiian Islands. Materials include bird observation data sheets, fix data sheets, weather and barometric data, and other data. Bird observations data sheets include entries for time, species, #, dir., hgt., and remarks. Fix data sheets include entries for date, time, sunset time, position sunset, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude. Additional data sheets recorded time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed. Also included is a photocopied progress report draft.
