Abstract:
Original logbook of the Albatross, station numbers c 20050 to 20098, 1 March to 11 April 1920. Data recorded include station number (no.), date, hour, position, locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer make and no., reading, stem temp., correction, corrected temp., w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Locality: Gulf of Maine and the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Maine and Massachusetts.
