The photograph album is a compilation of black and white images taken during the National Geographic Society-Smithsonian Institution Expedition to the Dutch East Indies, 1937. Subject matter includes vegetation and an unusually large flower; local people working; village and rural scenes; village waterway crowded with boats; man working with snakes; Tai Thean Kew Chinese Girls Circus Truck; local temple (?); and a girl with poster of Dorothy Lamour "The Jungle Princess" movie poster. There are no visible captions.
