Abstract:
The black and white photographs were taken by William Foshag of Paricutín Volcano, March 2 - July 7, 1944. Includes image numbers F172 - F210. On the reverse side, some include the image number, date, and sometimes a description, indication of vantage point, or time of day. Subject matter includes structures damaged by lava flows; types of lava; skyline of village with volcano in the background; daytime and nighttime lava flows; and undamaged rural terrain. Includes duplicates.
