Photographs were taken by R. E. Cole, T. A. Heist, A. L. Moore, and A. C. Risser and document work completed for the Smithsonian Institution African Mammal Project, November 1963 - February 1964. Images are dated and include captions describing location and activity, as well as indicating photographer. Subject matter includes participants (Art Risser) in candid images, wildlife (Rhinolophus, giraffes) in habitat, interactions with kudu cow in campsite, and specimens collected. Locations are across Transvaal province, South Africa.
