Abstract:
This field book contains a list of photographs and specimens from participation in the International Fur-Seal Commission on Pribilof, Commander, Kurile (Kuril), and Robben Islands, Petropaulski, Japan, and Hawaii. Photograph list is on pages 3-29 and lists 94 photographs dating from 5 July-29 November 1896. Blank pages follow the photograph list, and a specimen list dating from 22 August 1896 to 7 October 1897 begins on page 151. The specimen list contains collector numbers 7001-8037 and brief descriptions of various species of birds located on several islands in Russia, including various locations on the Kuril Islands (Kuril'skiye Ostrova), Sakhaliu, and various locations in Kamchatka. Miscellaneous notes on page 101-102 are also included.
