Abstract:

This book includes travel and research notes by R. E. Silberglied, Costa Rica, 1972. Includes a draft of what may be a presentation that Silberglied gave on UV importance to butterflies. Also includes notes on research by others. Some small sketches of butterfly wings (noting visible colors and UV patterns) can be found throughout the book. Includes several hand-drawn maps, and a small printed map of Colombia.
