Abstract:
This is a field journal by Joe T. Marshall, detailing his field work with birds in Arizona from January 4 - December 26, 1953. Dated entries detail accounts of observing and collecting birds throughout Arizona. Information included are times, altitudes, weather conditions, terrain and forest descriptions, bird lists with species and numbers, and sketched maps of specific localities. These maps are interspersed throughout the journal, and serve to show the terrain and observation sites. There are also some bird sketches. The pages are numbered 1-285.
