Abstract:
This folder contains logs, data sheets, and tables of bathythermograph (BT) data collected during Southern Island Cruises (SIC) 9 through 15 on the Pacific Ocean between October 1965 and October 1966. A BT log for SIC 9 records the position for each BT station; temperature and depth information for each BT station on SIC 9 are recorded on data sheets. For SIC 11, 13, and 14, tables provide temperature and corrected temperature information for each BT slide and include some notes on condition of the BT and slides and quality of the data. A set of Hytech salinometer log sheets provides corrected salinity values, probably for SIC 14. A set of notebook pages list bottle numbers for SIC 15. No documents pertaining to SIC 10 and 12 are included in the folder. The only locality information in the folder is on the BT log for SIC 9: BT data were collected in an area approximately bounded by 3° S to 20° N and 157° to 178 ° W.
