Abstract:
This folder contains several tables compiling observations, population counts, and tagging data for Hawaiian monk seals on islands of Hawaii. Most of the records date from the 1960s; some historic records are from as far back as the 1880s. Also included is a photocopy of the manuscript "Population Dynamics and Inter-atoll Movement of the Hawaiian Monk Seal" by William O. Wirtz, II, with related comments from Robert L. DeLong, as well as a few items of correspondence.
