This field book is vol. 3 of Alexander Wetmore's notes on birds observed in Panama from 1940-1966. Specific localities within Panama include but are not limited to Darien, Chiriquí, and Cocle. Entries are generally organized by species, and include localities, dates, and notes regarding collection or observation. Ranges of USNM catalog numbers are listed by year for Panamanian collections. This volume includes Tinamidae, Podicipedidae, Procellariidae, Oceanitidae, Phaethontidae, Pelecanidae, Sulidae, Phalacrocuracidae, Anlhingidae, and Fregatidae.
