Abstract:
Field notes taken by Palmer during a trip from Boston to eastern Canada, 26 June to 30 August 1887. Notes are narrative, daily accounts interspersed with lists of birds collected including the following information: scientific name, sex, age, locality, and if breeding. Collector numbers include 1-179. Narrative notes include supplemental information such as occurrence, more breeding information, localities, and Palmer's daily activities. Localities include but are not limited to. Pleasant Bay on Gunstone Island, Bird Rocks, Amherst Island, Magdalen Islands, Funk Island (Newfoundland), Fogo Island, and Mingan Island. Sketches are included at the end of the notebook.
