This field book contains notes from Kleiman's trip to Brazil from September 14 to 19, 1986. Kleiman provides a narrative, daily account of her activities in Brazil, including the observing and releasing of golden lion tamarins (glts). During this trip, several problems are noted about the release of a group of tamarins, and the disappearance of glts Ron and Aphrodite, and death of other glts are reflected upon. Observations of Micueca and Pandora (glts), including play and copulation. The inside of the back cover lists the last dates Ron and Aphrodite were seen, and the Pedreira observations for the Micueca group. Also included are numerous notes on conversations and meetings with colleagues and representatives from the nature reserves and IBDF (Instituto Brasileiro de Desenvolvimento Florestal). Notes from the "IF/Sao Paulo meetings regarding BLTs" (black lion tamarins) are also included.
