Abstract:

This field book consists of a list of plants (mostly bamboo) collected by T. R. Soderstrom in India, China, South Africa, Brazil, and Puerto Rico, from 1978 to 1981. Collector numbers 2597 through 2608 are included. Entries include: collector number, scientific name, locality, date, elevation, physical description, habitat, abundance / rarity, and other observations. Entries are long and descriptive. Several sketches are included throughout. Localities in India include: Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh. Localities in China include: Guangzhou, Guangdong Province (China); Drakensberg (South Africa); Mun. Nova Friburgo (Brazil); Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); and Mayaguez (Puerto Rico). Lists of photographs are included in the back of the book.
