Abstract:
The two stacks of loose note paper document the field work of Edward A. Goldman in Mexico, December 16, 1935 - January 17, 1935. Pages are numbered. Entries are dated and describe travel details (destinations, time of day, mode of transportation, routes), weather, interactions with local staff and officials, daily activities, vegetation (including type), wildlife (mammals and birds), bird counts per location, birds being sold in community markets, terrain seen enroute. Locations include the vicinity of San Juan de Letrán [Rancho San Juan de Letrán], Peñón Viejo, in the vicinity of Mexico City, Acapulco to Laguna de Coyuca [Laguna Coyuca].
