This field book includes the journal entries of Lyman B. Smith from a collecting trip to Brazil, 1964-1965. Entries are narrative and describe daily collecting activities of Smith, observations of plants, and notes on travel. Descriptions of plants, including sketches can be found in the book. Some geographic coordinates are listed. Localities include: Sao Miguel d'Oeste, Itajai, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belem, and others. Some notes are in Portuguese.
