Abstract:
The journal documents Vernon Orlando Bailey's fieldwork in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, August 5 - October 17, 1927. Entries are dated and describe travel details (destinations, accommodations, distances), interactions with local inhabitants, descriptions of beaver farms and their owners, vegetation (types, state of growth, life zones), terrain, possible sites for beaver colonies, observations of muskrats, and habitat.
