Abstract:
This folder contains determination lists for and correspondence about botanical specimens collected by H. [Hernando] Garcia-Barriga in Peru. Also included are 12 black-and-white photographs of identified botanical specimens that Garcia-Barriga took, dated 1940. Garcia-Barriga may possibly be in some of the photographs. Correspondence from Joseph Ewan (United States Department of Agriculture) to Killip about Garcia-Barriga's specimens. Determinations mainly by Killip were reported to Determination lists the Instituto de Ciencias Naturales de Bogota. Determinations from the Ministerio de Agricultural Y Ganaderia and Instituto Botanico, Bogota, are also included. For more information about Garcia-Barriga's specimens, see SIA Acc. 12-012.
