Abstract:
This is the second of four sketchbooks of wildlife of Sudan, 1913 -1914, by Abel Chapman. The sketchbook includes images of birds and mammals in a variety of poses, including individuals and groups, habitat, behavior (flying), nests, and some through telescope lens. Captions vary, but usually include common name, date, sometimes location, and behavior observed. This notebooks has more notes about observed animals (appearance, behavior) than the first notebook. Includes map of area 45 kilos west of Tonga. Locations include Supra, Khor Fela, Lake No. Includes a portion of a letter.
