Abstract:
Eight pages of typed excerpts from Cochran's travel diary during her 1935 trip to Brazil to collect frogs. Entries include 1 February abd 16 March 1935. These excerpts were possibly the foundation of Cochran's essays "Collecting frogs in Brazil" and "Expedition to Brazil". Cochran's entries discuss frog collecting in Santa Alexandrina (a suburb of Rio de Janeiro) and Ouro Preto. Some descriptions of plants and insects are also included. Also includes "Outfit of Dr. Doris M. Cochran to Brazil,", and list of supplies and materials in "tanks" from 7 December 1934.
