Abstract:
This field book is volume 2 of 6 volumes. This volume contains notes documenting a collecting trip to the Mount Halcon region in the Philippines Mearns conducted to collect birds and mammals from 30 October to 16 December 1906 (the cover of the journal incorrectly provides a December 10 end date). Diary like entries are given in the front of the book, and specimen lists are provided toward the back of the book. Collector numbers 14451 to 14596 (birds) and 6301 to 6347 (mammals) are included. Measurements for specimens are included. Localities include but are not limited to Mount Halcon, Alag River, Mangyan Hill (Buena Vista), Calapan (Mindoro Island), and Corregador Island. Narrative itinerary is included.
