Abstract:
This journal contains Keen's daily entries from 1959-1961. Most of Keen's entries are snippets of her daily personal and professional activities. The diary does, however, contain notes from a collecting trips to collect shells. No specimens are named or collector numbers provided. The first is a trip to La Paz in Baja, California, from 31 October to 4 November 1959. One localities during this trip include but are not limited to Punta Coyote, Espiritu Santo island, and Cape San Lucas. The diary also contains notes from a collecting trip to the Gulf of California (or the Sea of Cortez) from 23 August to 1 September 1960 to search for living bivalve gastropods. Localities during the Gulf trip include Guaymas and Candelero Bay. Notes on these trips are found in Keen's daily entries and on two typed sheets summarizing her trips.
