Abstract:
Field notes documenting birds and mammals observed and collected during Mearn's research with the Mexican - United States International Boundary Commission while traveling from El Paso, Texas, to Los Angeles, California, 1892. Collector numbers for bird specimens include 7949 to 8704 (May-October). Collector numbers for mammal specimens include approximately numbers 1810 to 2113 (May-July?). Sex, age, and measurements are included for both. Localities include Mesquite Springs [California?], Hachita Mountains (currently called Little Hatchet Mountains, NM), the east side of San Luis Mountains (Mexico), and "Canjon Bonita" (Canyon Bonita).
