Abstract:
The 8 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in Iowa. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, and type of plants. Subject matter includes dunes, blow hole at Big Sand Mound, and vegetation (honey-locusts, tumble weed, grasses). Locations are in Muscatine and Louisa county, Iowa.
