Abstract:
This field book contains notes Mearns took from 5-22 November 1891 (dates in title are inaccurate) during his travels from Crookston to Hallock, Minnesota (trip from Saint Paul, Minnesota, near Fort Snelling to Hallock). Mearns describes birds seen during this trip and includes notes on birds collected (7517-7524). Notes and measurements of moose and sorax specimens are also included, as is a letter from E. Hillenbrand to Mearns (January 11, 1892). Localities include Tamarack Creek and Middle River.
