Abstract:
An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 4 January to 31 January 1968 on Aldabra Island, Seychelles. Collector numbers 48674-49163 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes document vegetation, and observations of birds and tortoises. Localities include but are not limited to: Ile Moustique, West Island, Ile Picard, South Island, Cinq Cases, and Middle Island. Included throughout the field book are lists of photographs taken at various locations.
