Abstract:
An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 26 July to 30 November 1964 in France, Scotland, North Wales, District of Columbia, North Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Collector numbers 45685-45938 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes document vegetation in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: Gray Mare's Tail, Loch Tulla (Scotland); Fontainebleau (France); Cum Idwal Nature Reserve, Llyn Peris, Cum Artra (Wales); Washington (D.C.); Bethany beach (Delaware); Ocean City (Maryland); Shenandoah National Park, Wildcat Mountain Preserve (Virginia). Also included is a folded map of the British Railways.
